Radio Girl
The radio girl blog is a glimpse at a variety of topics. This is not, nor will it ever be, a solely intellectual and in depth look at anything. Instead, it will be a brief and often quirky glance at world events and my roaming life.

Music Monday 135 :: Amy Winehouse's "Valerie" LIVE
Music Monday 135 :: Amy Winehouse's "Valerie" LIVE
The talented people are immediately noticeable; they stand out w/out all of the overwhelming bells and whistles.
I'm proud to say that I'd known about Amy Winehouse before she blossomed in the U.S.
The old soul that spews from her voice is mesmerizing. "Valerie" comes across so effortlessly. Love her style and miss her much.

Music Monday 134 :: Brandi Carlile "That Wasn't Me"
Music Monday 134 :: Brandi Carlile "That Wasn't Me"
This song is all kinds of cool. I initially heard her singing this on The Tonight Show w/Jay Leno. One of those moments when I was doing something else and then I heard her hit a note that captured my attention.
Nice. Just a nice and mellow and meaningful track.

Music Monday 133 :: Rihanna "We Found Love" f/Calvin Harris
Music Monday 133 :: Rihanna "We Found Love" f/Calvin Harris
I'm not a huge fan of techno music; I like it in doses. So imagine my surprise when this song "We Found Love" by Rihanna is blaring in my neighborhood. It's seems like it was the only song in the rotation and it played over and over again, oh, and did I say it was loud?
Ok, so the song's not techno, but you get my point.
This video is just trampy ... but whatevs!

TRAVEL :: Jordan
TRAVEL :: Jordan
I recently traveled to Jordan with some colleagues.
To start, we mostly just had the Lonely Planet Jordan Guide and some sketchy road maps.
We flew in to Amman, rented a car and headed to Madaba, Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, the Dead Sea and Jerash.
It was adventurous, exciting, fun and just one of those trips of a lifetime.
